To many, sheep are like racing drivers (as they say on Top Gear) – small brains and worthless opinions. Though i think sheep should be given credit for being cute. Wallace and Grommit, and Shaun the Sheep, of the same producers, have immortalised them in plasticine.
Another thing (thought just hit me). If most of our wool come from sheep, why don’t we ever refer to them or at least to an ovine species as wooly? We’ve never gotten any wool from mammoths and surely no nursery rhymes in the common world feature these, well, extinct creatures. I propose we sit down and form a committee to decide if we should henceforth refer to sheep as ‘wooly sheep’. In light of fair treatment and anti-competitive laws, coupled with inherent constitutional rights and mandatory intellectual property guidelines, it is by no means within our domain to deny the formation of this committee and the following legal emancipation of our ovine brethren.
