Just saw a little hummingbird, well, sitting on the ledge outside my study. Thought i’d come up with a tiny little poem here.
Yellow hummingbird
Sitting on my ledge
Have you come to brighten my day
and take my sadness away
Why do you nibble, nibble, nibble
And pluck your plume so gay
Ah, yellow hummingbird
If only you knew love
Then there’d be two of you sitting
On my tiny little ledge.
