I don’t quite know if it’s just me or is the world just on a steady, downward spiral?
Judging by the news we get these days, everything seems to be so frightening. I’m sceptical that it is solely due to the media’s feeding off and propagation of fear.
I’m not sure if it’s increased reporting of such events, but having a visible rise in the number of crashes, natural disasters, bombings, and whatnot, surely must be disturbing for even the most apathetic.
For example, in Wikipedia’s frontpage In The News column, there were two plane crashes, two natural disasters, and one bombing. Leaving a frivolous entry on a rugby match (hopefully no rugby supporter reads this post ><!).
Oh Lord, what’s happening with the world? :(
