Just saw, at great world city, the first island creamery branch outside serene centre. Other than the fact that I’m bored as I accompany my mom to fetch my sister after lunch, a thought prompted me to do this mini review of sorts.
Personally I believe the success of island creamery rests solely on it being the first ice cream shop in such a prime location. As we all know, it offered students from the surrounding institutions and nearby residents the stereotypical hangout. That was before little gelatarias became popular. With its foot in a metaphorically lovely and opportune door, its reputation naturally grew into what it is today.
Aside from interesting festive flavours such as the recent pineapple tart variant I tried, honestly I’m not quite a fan of their cold treats. It’s a great place to sit down and chat – chill, if you’re looking for a pun. But I don’t go there for the frozen cream. That would be ben and jerry’s or other gelatarias whose names I can’t quite remember offhand.
That’s how the branch I saw at great world city figures in this post. It prompted the thought that, pardon me, doubted its success. Maybe it’ll do well because of the brand’s name, but if there was a competitor, it wouldn’t have location on its side.
A short shout out from my side. Besides, am currently already waiting to pick my brother up.
Sorry about the blurred photo.
