I’m really quite puzzled by my erratic performance in the gym.
Take the benchpress for example. My last gym session, just over a fortnight ago, saw me straining to clear 75kg on the Smith machine. But on Thursday I could comfortably press 95 for six (photo below).
I don’t think the sharp pain in my left shoulder has anything to do with this discrepancy.
And the fact that I have not been exercising frequently makes this all the more puzzling…
